About The Event
Dedicated to Charles P. Everett 1843-1927, deep sea diver who performed recovery work on USS Maine that exploded and sank in the harbor at Havana, Cuba and recovery work on the steamer General Slocum that sank in the East River; Capt. Martin E. Haley 1898-1953, harbor pilot; Fannie Smith Anthony (1827-1914) stewardess on the Hudson River steamer Mary Powell; and Julius F Lang (1843-1901) founder of Fuchs and Lang Mfg. whose products were in the cargo hold of the RMS Titanic.
