About The Event
Dedicated to the many great and accomplished women at Maple Grove including:
Victoria Earle Matthews (1861-1907): Author, newspaperwoman, settlement worker, and activist
Dr. Ella A Jennings (1848-1908): Physician, editor, author, lecturer, and founder in 1879 of the Provident Dispensaries for women and children and founder of a health magazine, Humanity, and Life, bringing to light the "evil conditions" of the poor.
A preview of a new grave marker for Dr.Jennings will be on display prior to its installation at Summit 182 later in the month.
