Great Halloween Event & Carved Pumpkin Contest

Great Halloween Event & Carved Pumpkin Contest The Strange and Unusual with a touch of Paranormal! Saturday, October 20, 2:00–6:00 PM

The Spooktacular Halloween Festival enjoyed a most pleasant and beautiful fall day, unlike the three inches of snow that forced its cancellation last year!

The program was run by Carol Lacks and was just brilliant. As you will see from the pictures there was a huge crowd that came to all the events. The Walking Tour attracted over 50 people and lasted about one hour and a half.

The Halloween Parade of Children went off very well and this was followed by many activities under the tent.

Mr. Randy Barron came and displayed the beautiful telescope that he donated to the Friends of Maple Grove and drew many delightful reactions when they viewed the craters on the moon.

There were many helpers, many whom were brought by Carol. Also a number of our faithful Friends members and volunteers who came to assist, including Board Member Lisa Erdman, Friend Theresa Kunda, Friend Anne Gough, and Friend Henry Vas Nunes. And of course the Maple Grove Staff including Carolyn Giulietti, Mike, and Frank. They did a great job with the traffic of cars that flowed in.
