Clothespin Doll Making Workshop

Updated: Oct 13, 2020

Friends of Maple Grove presented a Clothespin Doll Making Workshop on Saturday, April 11, 2015.

On April 11, 2015, The Friends of Maple Grove held its first 2015 event and it was the first workshop partnered with the National Doll & Toy Collectors Club, Inc. The workshop was inducted by Club President Susan Horwich and it was an absolutely wonderful and successful venture! We had eight who signed up and they all expressed what a great an afternoon they had. Susan engaged the participants and they created many extraordinary dolls using simple wooden clothespins as a base. She is an excellent teacher and has great skill and talent. She guided the participants and brought out their creativity. Board member Helen Day assisted with all the preparations and everything was in place by the time the workshop started. Other Board members who assisted include Alex Samaroo and Steven Martinez who helped.

I wish to thank the Josephine Foundation for providing the funds to make this workshop possible!

Susan has many more wonderful ideas and this is certainly the start of a wonderful friendship! Carl Ballenas President of the Friends of Maple Grove Cemetery
