"A Love Song to Paris" Mary Kathryn Monday Virtual Concert

Good day Friends!

Before this wonderful concert began the following Introduction was given:

Greetings to all of our friends and a happy belated 4th of July! As we enter our summer season, we are praying for your continued safety and health.

We are during difficult times and hope our concerts and events will bring you a moment of peace and relaxation.

This concert marks the National Day of Independence for the people of France, on Bastille Day July 14th. We have enlisted mezzo-soprano Mary Kathryn Monday to perform a concert of French Art songs and love songs by Cole Porter.

Ms. Monday will be accompanied on the piano by Christopher Berg. As is our custom at all our events, we call out the name of one who is cared for here at Maple Grove Cemetery. Today we honor Felix Daniel Berthet who was born in France in 1840, immigrated to the United States and fought with the Union Army in the Civil War. He raised a family in Astoria, Queens and died in 1902.

Please stay safe and check our website for all our events, and now without further ado we present Mary Kathryn Monday.
