On Saturday, August 15th we were able to bring you another great concert by talented guitarist, Hau Le. Before the concert began the following message was read on behalf of The Friends of Maple Grove.
"Greetings to all our friends!
The Friends of Maple Grove is delighted to bring you another wonderful concert.
We are delighted to present the noted guitarist Hau Le! We continually send you our deepest wish and prayers that you are all safe in the comforts of your homes.
All our concerts have been extremely well recieved and we are in the process of creating many more for the fall season. We are hopeful that one day soon, we can all meet in the Celebration Hall at the Center at Maple Grove.
This concert is dedicated to honor the memory of Abby Lucretia Ripley Dobson who came to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in 1890. Abby had a large family and her five sons, Henry, Benjamin, Charles, George, and Edward were talented musicians, specifically when it came to the banjo!
Last Saturday we had our first online Friends of Maple Grove Lecture. It told the life story of a blind couple, Mr. and Mrs.Delano who are cared for at Maple Grove Cemetery. Please give it a listen. A link can be found on our Friends of Maple Grove website. We are preparing to create more online lectures in the future.
